Sara McNeil is a dedicated mental health professional with a rich educational background, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The Ohio State University, a Master of Science in Business Psychology from Franklin University, and a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wright State University. She began her career as a therapist at a local treatment center, guiding clients on their paths to recovery. Utilizing a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt principles, meditation, and mindfulness techniques, Sara specializes in supporting individuals with substance use issues, emphasizing holistic approaches to wellness. Supervised by Todd Carter, LPCC, she has expanded her expertise to include mood disorders and life's challenges.
Beyond her academic and professional pursuits, Sara’s deep connection with horses, cultivated from childhood, inspired her to incorporate Equine Assisted Therapy into her practice. Her years of working with horses at a local stable have not only strengthened her therapeutic approach but also shaped her compassionate, intuitive nature. Sara looks forward to supporting you on your healing journey, bringing her passion for mental health and her love for horses to help you achieve your wellness goals.
